What We Believe
What we believe is based solely on the authority of God's Word. While we hold certain traditions and beliefs, they are grounded in God's Word.

God created man (Genesis1:27).

God gave man free will to either follow Him or rebel. Man chose to rebel (Romans 3:23).

All have sinned and are therefore separated from God (Isaiah 59:2). This only happens when one is old enough to choose to sin, often referred to as the age of accountability. Babies and young children are not mentally capable of understanding right and wrong or sin.

God sent Jesus to be the perfect sacrifice to pay the penalty of sins (2 Corinthians 5:21).

Jesus died on the cross and on the third day was raised to life (Romans 4:25)

Jesus will pay your penalty for sin and re-connect you to God if you are willing to accept it (Romans 6:23)

To accept the free gift of salvation from Jesus, a person must:
1. Believe (John 6:47)
2. Confess Jesus as Lord (Romans 10:9)
3. Repent of their sin (Acts 2:38)
4. Be baptized (Acts 2:38, Romans 6:1-4). We do practice full immersion baptism as that is the biblical practice. Jesus was immersed, the words of Paul in Romans 6 describe immersion, and the definition of the Greek word for baptism describes the sinking of ships.
5. Seek to follow Him (Matthew 28:18-20)
